Located on 18th street in Dupont Chef Lee presides over the kitchen making sure that the recipes and dishes taste as she was originally taught being raised in Seoul. Her specialty is creating homestyle Korean dishes that one would enjoy in her own kitchen. Mandu was also recognized as a recommended restaurant in the Michelin Guides premier Washington DC issue in 2016 and again in 2017.
In the Fall of 2016 Lee and his mother were invited to London to showcase a Korean tasting menu for a two week Mandu residency at Carousel Restaurant. Mandu has won Best Korean in the Washington City Paper annually since 2010 in addition to being featured in several local and national publications. Mandu was also recognized as a recommended restaurant in the Michelin Guides premier Washington DC issue in 2016 and again in 2017.

Start your meal off with an order of their Mandu aka Korean dumplings. Choose from beef pork. Mandu is the famous Korean restaurant in Washington DC which offers an assortment of delicious Korean meals.
The Pan Fried Mandu is the highlight dish of this place which is highly addictive. The other must-try dishes of this restaurant are Dolsot Bibimbap Beef with rice and veggies and Kimchi Jjigae Pork and tofu soup. The Korean gastropub replaces Mandu in Dupont Circle.
Right out of the gate Anju is among the most enticing restaurants to open this year a. Youd think a restaurant named Mandu would serve great Mandu but whoever made this dish here doesnt know what salt is. We also ordered the Soondubu and Yookge Jang but both stews lacked any depth of flavor.
